This past week was down south in Mexico with the daughter, sil and 3 grandkids. It was their first time there and they had a blast! Weather was exceptionally hot and humid however a huge thunderstorm third night in cooled us up a bit.
From the Malecon - primary tourist walkway .......
I love these statues that were designed FOR people to explore, sit on, climb on & touch.

Re: Home Again
The best fun was jumping the waves in the ocean to me however the Crew loved their time in the Kid Zone particularly the afternoons of dress up and particularly when you're a Lion being chased by a Pirate and Princess.
I love the old doors and if I could figure out how to get these back to my world I'd have them here!

Re: Home Again
Been quiet while you were away LLL. Welcome home You have told us of your trips to Mexico in the past and his time the kids gabve you a different focus for your pctures. Thank for posting them I like the sculpture idea and also the dressing up for the kids. I have not come across that in my travels but I don't spend much time in 'kids corners'

Re: Home Again
Thanks and if you can't spend your day as a roaring lion how can you spend your day? Fortunately or unfortunately the youngest twin was able to stay IN character for much of the week there Pirates and Princesses come and go but a LION can be FOREVER!
Their most favourite activity other than doing mega Arts and Crafts and Activities in the Kids Club was to jump the waves with Grandma. There is a bit of an undertow so we all had to hold hands as we jumped them or got smacked in the face and pushed backwards by the waves but doing this is a primary beach Resort Activity there. One of MY favourites too. Their Mom wimped out claiming she didn't want to get sunburned ... unfortunately for the son-in-law the day after we got there he found out his Dad was rushed to hospital and ultimately ended up in emergency surgery (after holding him in ER for 2 days) and had his gall bladder & stones removed that were blocking ducts etc. Kinda left the son-in-law preoccupied with what was happening at home and checking online often to find out what was happening. Outcome though was good for his Dad who is now discharged home and on the mend. Timing was just unfortunate though for the son-in-law not being there (he is quite close to his Father).
