Just caught Jeff Lynne and ELO performing at Glastonbury tonight and I was bowled over! Wow! He certainly gave good value for money! Despite the fact that he's knocking on for 70, he hasn't lost any of his musical prowess that made him such a success in our younger days. Can't keep the old 'uns down, can you? :up

ELO, great stuff never dies :up

Adele, fabulous voice but filthy mouth. :(

Looking forward to Gregory Porter, the man with the head gear, super voice. :up

Then the final headliners, Coldplay, they get better and better :up :up :up

Filthy mouth really? Never knew - but I DO like her voice.

To me all of Adele's songs sound the same apart from a very few.

She is so common and foul mouthed LLL. Undenying her great voice, but I agree with Horus, most of her own compositions sound much the same and on the mournful side.

In her song 'Hello' there is a line 'Hello, from the other side' what's all that about?

But for all that she is fabulously rich, and married a rich man......

Did anybody watch Coldplay. The TV presentation was excellent and from my armchair I had a much better view than the tens of thousands standing in the mud.

I thought the whole set, the band, the lighting, the crowd, was a superb end to Glastonbury 2016. Quite touching to bring on Barry Gibb but their rendition of 'Staying Alive' got everyone going. Chris Martin even introduced his children and their cousins as a backing group in one number. All good family stuff and not a swear word to be heard.

And to close the show, Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis sang Sinatras 'My Way'. Was he saying goodbye to Glastonbury????

Exactly a year ago now, but did anyone watch this year?

Yes, a year to the day RS :up

Did we watch? DID WE! From Elbow on Friday night, Katie Perry in the afternoon and then that brilliant set by The Foo Fighters headlining Saturday. Sunday was all about Barry Gibb, Chic with Nile Rodgers, then Ed Sheeran headlining.
Ed is a great songwriter and small audience performer but I think Glasto is too big for a solo headliner.
But all the music was great, although much of it was dated, everybody knows the words...A fantastic Glasto :up :up :up

Nope, just wasn't in the mood. I'd enjoy being there, but not watching on the box.

Me too, I prefer to be somewhere rather than watch on the TV
