Oh how I would like to be a fly on the wall at that meeting today at Sandringham between The Queen, Charles, William and Harry with, it is reported, Meghan chipping in by telephone from Canada. I doubt if they will discuss finance in detail at this stage but if they do, I hope the Queen will have her finance managers present. Don't want that pumped up couple to get everything their own way.
But no doubt we will only learn a minimum of what is released to the press........gotta keep it in the family.....even though we and the exchequer fund them.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Monarchist and fully respect the Queen, Charles and William but that is as far as 'The Firm' need to be slimmed down. The rest of them can earn there own keep.

Re: A FLY ON THE WALL
Zara and her husband have made a successful life by sheer hard work. They seem to have a happy balance of work and family. I know from experience horses are hard work and to succeed as she has, very hard work. Mike was a first class rugby player and rugby is a very tough sport, you get there by your own efforts.
Good luck to them.

Re: A FLY ON THE WALL
Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, and her then husband Captain Mark Philips, chose not to accept offers from the Queen of titles for their children. I have always admired her for that. She is far removed from line of accession but is patron to many charities and carries out many duties in her capacity of Princess Royal.
I think she has got the balance right and is a favourite Royal with me.

Re: A FLY ON THE WALL
Anne asked for a pony and stable for a wedding present. The crew of a large naval vessel gave it to her. Very cleverly she retained ownership but after having it trained to carry disabled children made sure it was used for just that. The pony worked with others at a centre specialising in Riding for the Disabled every child who ride it was told they really were riding a Princess's pony. Her family are a credit to her.

Re: A FLY ON THE WALL
Here it is being reported that Meg & Harry want to be able to financially live by their own means (very vague wording) and so the query here is "will they give up Harry's $$$?" However that being said I can't for a second see M giving up 1 dollar. IMO she wants every red cent she might think she is entitled to.

Princess Anne's son, Viscount Linley has been a furniture designer and maker for years, I think.
