MD has always talked about growing Kalanchoe. Couldn't help but think of her when I saw this one (a double pink). Bought it and brought it home and now it is residing on the top of the kitchen counter. Hopefully all the buds will open and if MD's experiences of growing these counts I should have it for quite a long time.
Haven't grown one before but this one called my name and made me think of MD when I saw it

How lovely! Each little flower is so perfect. If they were the size of roses then the roses wouldn't get a look in.
How big is this plant LLL?

Overall the plant is planted in a 4" pot. Really not very big but when I saw them in the store they immediately reminded me of you and this particular shipment were all double flowers. They've hardly even started opening so based on your description I'm sure this flower will last for quite a long time and based on your sharing about this I'm going to treat it more like I'd treat or grow a tropical houseplant (i.e. I splashed a dollop of fish fertilizer on it yesterday when I was doing the rounds of all the other plants).

Re: MD's favourite
By the way, just a reminder - I put mine outside where they were attacked by slugs and lost nearly all their leaves but no flowers, indeed flowered more! However, if they are over watered they drop their leaves, I think they can be propagated from the leaves but haven't tried.
By and large they thrive on neglect and don't mind if you forget to water them now and again.
I wish you well with it. .
