I'm still around RS, but nothing much happening on here, pretty quiet over on the Blue side as well. I suppose that people are on holiday or have other things to do, or maybe the interest is dying off generally, nothing lasts forever.

So everyone is looking in ready to read what someone else has posted? surely we all have something to say. I was going to post some of my last holiday pictures, but if all I'm going to get is a 'like' then I may as well just show them to my neigbours over the garden fence if noboby comments.

It's jealousy H You seem to be the only one who has got away for a break We had planned and booked a week in Majorca back in June but cancelled (and lost some cash) Sad to say but our life has been ruled of late by hospital and clinic appointments and not left many gaps for a holiday.
I have booked a short 4 night excursion for next April, Easter week. Daughter Alison and her husband are doing the transport, as usual, and I shall pick up the bill....as usual More than happy to do that though because they DO help us out SO much. We stay in a lodge just a mile from Stratford right on the Avon. This is the lodge, and I can take the scooter

That looks very nice Grandad, are they individual chalets?

As to posting my own stuff and doing write-ups, well that is where part of the problem lies. If you don't get any feedback or comments then its hard to know if what you have posted was interesting or whether you are just boring the pants off everyone.

@Grandad At first glance your place looks almost like a log cabin you'd find here. Very interesting setting. Definitely looks quiet and tranquil. Love the swans and definitely wish I had some that stayed here all year 'round. At best I only get visitors who stay a few months in the late fall, early spring and then leave.

Yes, individual H. 2 bedrooms, one ensuite and one bathroom, kitchen, lounge, veranda. There are many on the site all with parking for two cars but only about a dozen spread along the river bank. I found it by chance when looking for somewhere new for an early break next year. There is a river bus into Stratford every 30 minutes...

I'm longing to go away! It's been 13 years since I last went on holiday and I'm beginning to despair!

Never mind RS, why not just plan a few days away somewhere it can be just as much fun as having to endure all the problems of foreign travel.
