How do you think the Brexit issue is going? It is on the News here and your PM is definitely making her case.

Our news here is reporting that May definitely is not in a good position re: Brexit today.

I think a lot of ordinary people would like the politicians of all parties to act like professionals. It's quite extraordinary the amount of preening and posing we see in the media.
I cannot understand how a person in the cabinet in a key position on negotiations can leave a meeting apparently on good terms with the PM and then announce to the press the next day that he was jumping the boat - why the hell didn't he do it at the meeting? Obviously it wouldn't cause as much drama.
I may not agree with Teresa May but I have to admit at moment I think she's the best man for the job!

Re: How do you think Brexit is going?
I don't know and do not get the daily ins and outs of Brexit or what is happening but from the little bit I've seen there was a vote which reflected the 'will of the people' and May is trying to implement that. No idea if "deals" are good/fair/neutral/barely adequate - cause again nothing is reported on Brexit here other than the highlights when the issue rises to international news reporting level.

Re: How do you think Brexit is going?
The problem is there was no time to plan how to do the separation before the vote to separate was announced by Cameron and then he left the stage and gave up politics.
The Hoy Poloy wanted a quick fix which is not possible to everyone's satisfaction, never could be in my opinion. Few things are perfect, but in any case The Brits can say they want separation on terms A but the EU may say don't like terms A how about B and there's an impasse over a huge number of laws and procedures.
If May walked out it would be chaos, with dog eating dog in each and every party, because they all individually think that they are right and everyone else is wrong. That's supposedly why we don't have a government of individuals, but parties. Hmm I see very little unity anywhere. No doubt it'll shake down as it has in previous parliamentary wrangles.
