Neighbourhood.

Post by LovelyLadyLux »

Right now we've got 2 cougars that are frequenting this area. My neighbour saw the two of them stare at her as she stared at them from her kitchen window. Unfortunately for them they seem to be hanging in this neighbourhood which means, as I'm real close to a school that is hosting a summer playground program, they could end up getting shot by Conservation officers. From the article they seem to think this is a Mom with a young 'un.

Always a shame when nature suffers as it comes into contact with humans because we invade their habitat :(

Unfortunately more and more cougars are coming close and one by one they're putting them down. The neighbour here was super surprised as the two cats sat for over 30 minutes just staring at her through the window of her house. They were in the bush but typical behavior is they disappear. They rarely just sit and stare and, naturally, she stared back.

This street always has mega cats go missing. Not sure why people think it is ok to let them run about lose outside at night because 9 out of 10 times they lose them with the cats never returning. Seems most people think that just cause there is a paved road in front of them they're living in the city. Not sure why they never look out the back door and see wilderness.

Hopefully these two will disappear because where they're at is very close to an Elementary School and tolerance for them will be minus 10 if they keep appearing close to the school.

They're definitely beautiful and very sad they're on the losing end of the stick as people keep encroaching into their territory.
