Hot, hot, hot!
I've just had to come indoors to cool down! It is so hot that my legs were burning! Who needs Dubai? By next week, I'll be moaning about the cold!

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
Hot? Wow! Haven't felt hot - as in hot from the sun for ages.
Always amazing how hot the weather feels once the sun comes out. Woke up to that bright yellow orb in the sky this morning here too.
I was out yesterday looking at the lettuce I planted a couple weeks ago - poor wee half frozen stuff. None of it has died but the shivering in the cold has really cost them. No signs of any pea seeds coming through the soil and only 1 or 2 onions breaking the ground too.
Think I'll be sitting outside with my cuppa this morning catching a few rays before it disappears.

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
I agree that yesterday was extremely hot, I was working outside all day and thje heat was draining even wearing shorts and a T shirt (not a pretty sight)
Apparently it was the hottest April day since 1949 and hotter than Cyprus.

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
It's been very pleasant the last couple of days, but not hot - the record high here was 17C in 2011.
We have 16C forecast today, 18C tomorrow and then back to 12C to 13C for the rest of the week.
Everyone I met yesterday was saying - " You know this is our summer - only one more day to go and that's it!"

They are probably right about the duration MD, most years we are disappointed after a good start and we finish up with a miserable Summer.

Been a chilly day, the sun has just come out, but I had to put the heating back on for a quick warm earlier.

We still have the sun and heat but have been warned to expect rain and possible thunderstorms later.

Rain is coming down like stair rods here - at least we haven't got a water shortage.

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
Mind you Kiya I can remenber getting snow very late into our Summer Cooler today but still pleasant with a warm breeze and a little light rain, but now quite sunny. After all the work on the chicken coop the conservatory and the garden is a mess and the garage/workshop is even worse, plus all the dust that has been traipsed in my myself and Annie so it a big cleaning blitz today (and probably tommorow). Just done the conservatory and hosed the patio area down next it is a good clean in my computer room and get the carpet cleaner going in that room and the hallway, I knew oatmeal was a bad colour choice The compensation is that I have my Juke Box playing and its loaded up with all the great oldies, just had some Slim Whitman (Indian love call & I'll take you home again Kathlene) Marty Robins (Ghost Riders, Big Iron, South of the Border) Little Richard (Tootie Fruttie) plus loads more, it helps with the chores.

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
Got home from Ras al Khaimah about 5pm yesterday and nice to cool down in these mild temperatures We had an enjoyable relaxing week and I shall tell you about it when I have sorted some pictures out. But I will say here and now, we didn't leave the hotel complex so not much to show. Will catch up in a day or so.

Re: Hot, hot, hot!
Well, I had to turn the heating on for a bit today, it was quite nippy.
Then an amazing thing happened I took some Begonias into my daughter's room to put on her window sill and the room was lovely and warm! Very odd as this room had the radiator that was causing problems with being cold at the bottom.
I investigated and it was piping hot all over! I'm not complaining as I was contemplating getting an electric fan heater to keep the room aired. The room has three windows facing south, so if we ever get sunshine the room is pretty warm. However this is Cardiff, say no more.
