Going to be Missed
During my entire life Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth have been in Buckingham Palace. The royal duo. Can't believe Prince Phillip is, after 70 yrs, stepping down. I believe he should but it is quite remarkable to have 'given' his life to 70 years of public service. Definitely remarkable career.

Re: Going to be Missed
He has been a fantastic consort to the Queen. He has always respected his wifes position as head of state and the commonwealth but apparently when at home he is head of the house like any husband or father. I can well imagine that.
At 96 he deserves some retirement, he has been a loyal servant to Queen and country.

I think he deserves a few years of doing nothing if that is his wish. I hope his retirement IS because he is just wanting not to have duties calling vs a medical concern.
He is all over the news here but they're showing, in a nice way, some of his better gaffs i.e. unveiling a picture and having the cloth catch.
