Just hearing on the TV news there was a huge explosion at a concert in Manchester.
Not too many details here yet. Are they indicating if it is a terror attack?

Re: Concert Explosion
19 dead and at least 50 injured so far! Yes, LLL, they are treating it as a terrorist attack. It sounds almost identical to the Paris attack of last year. Manchester Arena is a very large venue and would have full of youngsters attending last night's concert, unfortunately.

Re: Concert Explosion
We've now had the same report(s) here re: number of dead and injured. This attack seems to have sunk to a new low given that children were primarily attending this concert.
Another sad and senseless tragedy.
We're now getting a video allegedly from ISIS claiming responsibility. That being said I don't know if this video is actually legitimate or not. All news media is saying this claim by way of a video has come to light but nobody has validated the authenticity yet.

Re: Concert Explosion
The number of dead and injured is rising. We are being told it was a suicide bomber.

Re: Concert Explosion
When I heard the news I was worried sick, my young Grandaughter is in the age group that goes to these events with her mum as many yound girls tend to do and as that arena is a local venue to us she often goes there, luckily she was not there last night.

Re: Concert Explosion
The initial "breaking news" here was just about an explosion. It has gone on to detail that sadly this was a concert geared to young people (I really have never heard of the performer) which makes it doubly triply tragic.
The specifics here now are that it was a suicide bomber who did seem to specifically target young fans.
Awful. Just tragically awful.
