AirAsia Missing?
As I sit nursing my sore throat and dozing there is a 'Breaking News' on TV with no details of a missing AirAsia plane carrying 155 people.........?? This can't be a repeat of the Malaysian flight (I hope NOT)

I thought the same LLL, deja-vu? I hope not but, whatever, if total contact has been lost, the signs are not good.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
Just waking up and getting moving now and I see my usual Sunday morning shows have been pre-empted by Breaking News that the AirAsian Jet is lost.
Definitely hope this is not Deja-vue of the Malaysian Jet disappearance.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
Seems that bad weather may be to blame and it also seems there are some signs of smoke and debris. Hopefully this will not be another Malaysian incident where nothing is ever found.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
Well watching this mornings news it seems as if they have found the plane and the debris along with some bodies, alas another airplane tragedy to add to this years list.

Am seeing this on the news now too. Really sad and tragic however I'm glad they have FOUND it. No mention of any survivors or that they're scouring the area looking for any so the outcome not sounding too optimistic that anybody has survived.
All in all 2014 hasn't been a great year. When I think back it seems just one tragedy after another.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
I agree LLL. A whole catalogue of tragedies, from Ebola to the school rooms slaughter in Peshawa. From MH370 in the Indian ocean, and the airliner MH17 downed in Ukraine. And now this Airbus and the ferry fire in the Adriatic. And many many other disasters both natural and man made. Not a good year.
The only positive (if I can call it that) from the latest lost airliner is that hopefully closure can come quickly and not drawn out as in the case of MH370.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
They are showing the reaction of the families here to the AirAsia crash. Terribly tragic but, and it isn't really a consolation, at least these people can put their loved ones to rest.
All the TV News shows are reviewing the year as we're approaching a close and it definitely has not been a good one. Just too many disasters and upsets. Sure hope this isn't the way we're all destined to go. Am hoping 2015 will bring stability and positives. Enough of the tragedies. Feel like I'm in a never-ending Shakespearean tragedy on steroids!

Re: AirAsia Missing?
It would appear that the wreckage of this aircraft has been located and if it is in just 30 metres of water, recovery should not be difficult if th weather permits. My question is, why are the remains spread over a wide area. Maybe it broke up on impact and some parts floated for some time. I DO hope.it was notblown apart by a terrorists bomb.

Re: AirAsia Missing?
I heard a snippet of news (haven't been paying much attention today) that they have found bodies strapped into their seats. I hope this means a quick end to a terrible tragedy in that I'm hoping they'll be able to find and locate everything easily and be able to determine exactly what happened. Definitely hope it was not a bomb or anything man inspired.
