The show last night was good. It was a Musical. This group is led by two local people who had career(s) somewhere professionally writing music and stage performances. It was the other Grandma who found this and took everybody to all the auditions so I really don't have too much info as to how the all came about but it took them easily 6 months of practice and rehearsals to put on last nights performance.
When the twins auditioned apparently their part got "written in" as Jim & Tim who were Knights but basically comic relief over their names so anytime one was referred to as Tim they said their name was Jim & vice versa.
The music was good and each character sang their words to the melody of a song that came on every time they appeared for their own part. If you know the theme song to the Game Show Jeopardy that was the music that was played each time the Twins appeared to do or say something although they were on stage the entire time standing guard on the King. The daughter sewed many of the costumes.
The premise of the show was that the King needed a wife so rounded up all the village girls who each got turned into a Princess based upon her own talent. 'Course there was also an evil main Councilman (or the helper to the King) who plotted to kill the King.
I had a hard time taking photos but these are the "Village girls" who then turned into "Princesses"
As a children choir they had a blast singing and everybody had all the actions down with only a few forgetting their lines.
This young lad was the Jester and "wow" he was good. His personality and character shone through brightly. He was a relaxed natural up there in his role.
Here he is juggling

Re: Once Upon a Star
That sounds like a lot of fun LLL and very much akin to our traditional Christmas pantomimes.
Well done the twins for sticking with all those rehearsals for so long. Respect

Re: Once Upon a Star
I dunno how I managed to get this posted twice however E4U was not working cooperatively with me this morning and I got 2 "General Errors" this morning. I didn't think I posted anything, shut down, turned off and on and started again but one of the Errors must've actually created a post...…..

I'm sure a good time was had by all. I think the people who organise these things so well are quite wonderful. Well done everyone.
