Not that I have ever looked, but does Barbie actually have any 'bits' that need covering up?

According to my granddaughter, Horus, Barbie can't go in the swimming pool with Ken without one!

Which begs the question "does Ken have any 'bits' that need covering up"

Re: Not exactly a hobby but...........
I have a feeling that my mum knitted a swimsuit for my Tressy - I wasn't into Sindy or Barbie dolls.
There are lot's of online sites that seem to have a selection of patterns for making Barbie outfits.
This is a knitting pattern site and also has a few Ken items too:

This was just one of the sewing pattern places I found:

Re: Not exactly a hobby but...........
I originally just searched for Barbie clothes as I thought there may be some images of her wardrobe past and present. I was surprised when there were so many sites that came up with patterns.
Have you made your granddaughter a quilt? If so have you got any fabric left over from that - it would probably make great dress for Barbie and make it even more personal. Same with your grandsons quilt and Ken!

Re: Not exactly a hobby but...........
Hepzi, I've got fabric coming out of my ears! If I ever buy any, I have to sneak it in past DH because I know I'll get shot if he sees it! The problem with the Barbie clothes is that swimwear needs to be very, very stretchy and it's so tiny that it needs hand sewing - and there's no way on this earth I'm doing that!!!
