I seemed to have lost my MSE anti-virus.
I had a look in my Programs from the Control Panel, it is there but cant find it anywhere on my desktop etc etc.
Checked out on here Suggestion and Help Enquires for anti-virus but they are from 2009, rather old now.
I downloaded AVG last week but seems to be only a 30day trial !
Horus can you give the most recent update free download link for MSE.......and
would I uninstall AVG (30day free trial) beforehand ??

Re: ANTI-VIRUS
Here you go Kiya, this is a safe link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/wind ... s-download
You will need to download the file to your PC and then run it.
I have been looking for a Free version of AVG for you, but it seems that they all lead to a 30 day Free Trial, also I am not so happy about some of the sites supposedly offering it for free. You do not have to remove the AVG free trial, but if you are not going to buy it I suggest that you use your ‘Control Panel’ options to Uninstall it properly.

Re: ANTI-VIRUS
Thank you Horus...your a gem
I didn't like the look for some of the sites for AVG either, I went to Control Panel & uninstalled from there, strangely as soon as it was uninstalled my icon for MSE came back instantly on my task bar.
However I went to download your link for MSE & it said I have the most up to date version already.
I have McAfee also that does automatic scans, where that come from I've no idea but, I just let run.

Re: ANTI-VIRUS
Glad you are sorted Kiya
Very often a new virus scanner will switch off another version that may be running, that is why MSE came back on after you deleted AVG.

McAfee , after the scan they ask for money. AVG, I have this for years and it updates itself alone and of course its free. I have CCleaner, says it cleans, I have no idea what it does really , but its free and seems quite busy.

Re: ANTI-VIRUS
There is always some payback with free software somewhere down the line, MSE is probably the only one that does not have an ulterior motive somewhere in the way it gathers information, although that is in doubt.
