Sitting in the sunshine on a beach bar or an outdoor cafe, people watching, smoking cherry shisha, drinking juice and gossiping with friends.

Stay out at the Movenpick, get up early and have breakfast in the French restaurant because it is quiet. Then take a stroll around the island and watch the wildlife, I usually take my camera with me and take far to many pictures, snap, snap, snap.

Set off and visit whichever site we fancy that particular day, I know it will be hot but who cares hot weather has never bothered me. At the temple try to find something new either by poking around the site or by doing a bit of prior research. :)

Call into Sinbads or some other favorite watering hole dependent upon the location of said temple site and have a cold beer and a spot of lunch. :P Whilst there hopefully bump into local or expat friends.

Return to the hotel and catch a couple of hours of afternoon sun, have a swim, people watch, a few beers, read my book and usually watch the sun go down. Return to room, have a kip, then shower and fresh clothes for the evening.

Then either meander around the hotel and choose a place to eat or set of for Luxor town depending upon how shattered we feel after our day out. If its Luxor, we try to visit a few different venues during our holiday to update our opinions of the place, but like most people we do have our favorite's that get several visits during our holiday.

Best of all is when you go out with some friends and have a really good night out, this happened on several occasions last year. ;)
